NUTTY BREAKFAST BAR RECIPE

Once you have whipped up a batch you have breakfast on the go sorted for the week!

This is a great alternative to the shop bought varieties, which despite their appearance can be extremely unhealthy.
Nuts contain lots of healthy fats, fibre, protein, magnesium and vitamin E. The health benefits of almonds include lower blood sugar levels, reduced blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels. They can also reduce hunger and promote weight loss.
INGREDIENTS
300g Mixed Nuts (Almonds, Walnuts, Cashews)
150g Mixed Seeds (Pumpkin + Sunflower)
1 Banana
150g Dated (pitted) c6 dates
4 tbsp Honey
25g Raisins
2 tbsp Coconut Oil
1 tbsp Ground Cinnamon
1 Tbsp Ground Ginger
Step 1: Preparation
Pre-heat the oven to 180c. Line either a baking sheet with baking parchment (this will create a thinner nutty bar) or an 8" square tin, they you will have a fatter bar.
Step 2: Blitz
In a food processor, blitz the nuts for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until lightly ground.Put the ground nuts in a bowl.Put the rest of the flapjack ingredients into the food processor and whizz for a few minutes then pour over the nuts and stir with a wooden spoon until fully combined.
Step 3: Bake
Pour the mixture into the tin of your choice + bake for 20 - 25 minutes.
