PEANUT BUTTER RICE KRISPIE RECIPE
Updated: May 18
Sweet, salty, chewy, with a chocolate crunch. These hit the spot every time.

These are super easy to make and by whipping up a batch means you will all have a square of deliciousness when the need strikes!
INGREDIENTS
2 cups (30g) puffed rice cereal
1/2 cup (120g) peanut butter (softened so easier to mix)
1/2 cup (8tbsp) runny honey
Topping
1/2 cup (80g) chocolate chips
1 tbsp coconut oil
Step 1: Preparation
Line a square baking tin with cling film or parchment
Step 2: Mixing
In a large mixing bowl add all the ingredients (except the topping) + give it all an almighty stir until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. You can heat the honey + peanut butter to make it easier BUT don't get them too hot otherwise the krispies will go soggy.
Step 3: Spread
Spread the mixture of the base of the tin.
Step 4: Melt
Place the topping ingredients into a bowl, either place the bowl over a pan of boiling water, or place the bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds blasts. Be careful not to let the chocolate get too hot as it will burn.
Step 5: Pour
Pour over the base + place in the fridge to harden 2-3 hours should do the trick.
Step 6: Cut
Cut into squares + enjoy.
